60 YEARS AS A TOOLMAKER

Richardssons’ project managers and designers have extensive experience in optimising die cast components. This optimisation involves adapting the components to suit the actual pressure die casting process with regard to such aspects as wall thicknesses, radii and draft requirements. The optimisation also involves adapting the components in such a way that the tool can be designed and manufactured in the best possible way. In this case our job is to create the conditions for maximum tool service life by such means as avoiding having thin and sharp sections in the tool, making it possible to design replaceable components for the tool, et cetera.

We primarily do these tasks within the framework of our various manufacturing commissions. To some extent, however, Richardssons can accept consultancy work within this field, in which we have extensive experience.
